Natalie Gehred
Natalie Gehred graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2017 with a BA in Genomics and Computational Biology and Classics. After graduation, Natalie spent several years at the NIH studying the structure of Polycomb domains and their regulation of Drosophila development. Natalie joined UCLA’s Molecular Biology PhD program in 2019 to continue pursuing her interest in epigenetics. Her PhD work in the Vondriska Lab focuses on the cellular dynamics of cardiac fibrosis as well as changes in nuclear architecture in response to pressure overload-induced cardiac hypertrophy. In her free time, Natalie enjoys reading, running, hiking, and exploring SoCal with friends.
