Pratiti Dasgupta acquired her PhD in Genetics from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. Her doctoral research was focused on investigating the epigenetic factors controlling abiotic stress response in crop plants. Harboring a prime interest in epigenetics, her long-term goal is to undertake research elucidating the role of the epigenome in disease development. As a postdoctoral fellow in the Vondriska Lab, Pratiti looks forward to exploring cardiomyocyte metabolism, emphasizing the chromatin organization and epigenomic dynamicity in HFpEF condition during cardiac failure. Her favorite pastimes include cooking, singing, and watching wildlife documentaries.
