Sean graduated from Boston University in 2022 with a BA in Biology, specializing in Cellular, Molecular Biology, and Genetics. After graduation, Sean spent two years on the Editor Development team at Verve Therapeutics, where he contributed to advancing gene editing technologies to target cardiovascular disease. Sean joined UCLA’s Molecular Biology PhD program to further explore his interests in molecular genetics and gene regulation. His current research in the Vondriska Lab focuses on the role of linker histone H1.0 in cardiac fibrosis, specifically how it integrates mechanical and metabolic cues into global chromatin architecture changes. In his free time, Sean enjoys cooking, surfing, and exploring Los Angeles with friends.
